How am I notified of problems?
Our monitoring system sends notifications two ways: email or SMS. We recommend that you use SMS (Short Message Service) which sends a text message to your mobile phone (check with your carrier, they may charge a small monthly amount for this service). The other options is via email. If you want email notifications, we recommend that you use email that isn't part of the domain that we are monitoring (in case it's your mail server that stops responding) such as a Gmail or Hotmail account.
